Process of Silicon Wash for Garment.


Silicon washes generally doing on all type of fabrics i.e. Twill, Denim, Canvas, Knit, Corduroy.
Silicon wash is required for the following reasons:-
  1. It gives durable softness, elastic handle,
  2. It helps to antipilling affects, dimensional stability, tear resistance.
  3. It helps to fabrics to be cut and sewn more easily allows and improving wears and easy care properties.

Process of Silicon Wash:
The silicon washing process of batch of 60 kg Twill/Canvas/Poplin/Corduroy/Trouser is described below:-

First Step: Desizing
  1. Lot weight (Approx 125 pes) ............ 60 kg.
  2. Add water @ L: R = 1: 10.............. 600 Litre
  3. Machine Running.
  4. Add Desizing agent @ 0.6 gm / litre ............ 360 gm.
  5. Add Detergent @ 0.5 gm / litre.................... 300 gm.
  6. Temperature.......................... 50°c.
  7. Time...............................10-20 mts.
  8. Drop the liquor.
  9. Rinse one time 3 minutes.
Second Step: Softening
  1. Add water @ L: R = 1 : 8 .............. 480 Litres.
  2. Add Acetic Acid @ 0.6 gm / litre ............ 288 gm.
  3. Cationic Softner @ 1 gm / litre.............. 480 gm.
  4. Silicon (ME) @ 0.5 gm / litre ................ 240 gm.
  5. Temperature.......................... 40°c...
  6. Time................................ 15 to 20 mts.
  7. Drain the bath.
  8. Then unload the garments on trolley.
Third Step: Hydroextractor Machine
  • After unloading garments from the washing machine then they are sent to hydroextractor machine to remove excess water from the washed garments.
Fourth Step: Drying Machine
  1. Load 60 kg garments to gas/steam dryer.
  2. Temperature set -75°c to 85°c.
  3. Run about 35 to 45 mts.
  4. After run 10 to 15 minutes for cold dryer.
